Spaces, capacities and layouts

2 min readUpdated 20 October 2026

Record each event space and the capacity of every layout you can provide.

Meeting and event spaces appears for relevant selected business types. Create a separate record for each genuinely distinct room or space. Maximum occupancy alone does not explain how many people fit around tables.

  1. 1. Open Meeting and event spaces from Your listing.
  2. 2. Select Add a space.
  3. 3. Enter the English and Welsh space names.
  4. 4. Record known dimensions in metres.
  5. 5. Enter maximum occupancy supported by your venue information.
  6. 6. Enter capacity for each layout you actually provide.
  7. 7. Select facilities present in this space.
  8. 8. Describe the available AV equipment in the notes field.
  9. 9. Save the space using its save control.
  10. 10. Review the saved layout-capacity table.
  11. 11. Select Save and back to Your listing.

Tip: Use practical seated capacities, allowing for furniture and equipment. Do not copy the largest standing number into every layout.

Good to know: A space with no positive layout capacity does not meet the venue search capacity requirement. Publication and plan eligibility are separate. Add room photographs through Photos and its room tags.
